A Limerick couple’s $100 million lawsuit against Maine State Police officers is moving forward.

Lawyers for Justin Savage and his girlfriend have announced they’re moving forward after a judge left most of their accusations in place.

Savage and his girlfriend are accusing troopers of unlawfully arresting them during a domestic disturbance call and using excessive force against Savage.

The lawsuit claims Savage suffered serious facial injuries, including broken bones that required reconstructive surgery, after being punched repeatedly while restrained.

A hearing in the suit is scheduled for next week.
