Broadturn Road in Scarborough will be closed Wednesday night as Central Maine Power hauls an oversized transformer/turbine through the area.
The Town of Scarborough says the closure will begin at 8 p.m. on October 22 and is expected to last for several hours.
Maine State Police will escort the oversized load as it moves from South Portland, down Route 1, and onto Broadturn Road toward its destination in Buxton.
Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes and expect delays during the closure,
The transformer/turbine is being delivered to a CMP site on Emery Circle in Buxton.
