“Two attack lines were used off a Sabattus engine to aggressively knock down the bulk of the fire,” said the Monmouth Fire Department in a statement. “Large diameter hose was laid out 2,100 feet down the camp road by Monmouth and Litchfield engines and a portable tank was established for water supply which was pumped by an engine from Wales. West Gardiner drafted water from a fill site off the Whipporhill Road to fill tankers. All other towns provided manpower on scene or staged for a tanker shuttle.”
