A 59-year-old Minnesota man is accused of assaulting a police officer after landing at Bangor International Airport over the weekend.

Bangor police say officers were called in Saturday night after Jeffrey Wazenegger became upset about the wait on the tarmac and was yelling and being aggressive toward staff and other passengers.

Officers say Wazenegger attempted to push past them and leave the sky bridge after they arrived.

They say they tried to detain Wazenegger, but he physically resisted them and caused minor injuries to one officer.

He was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
