Fairfield police and Fairfield-Benton Emergency Services were called to the scene near the post office at about 4:38 p.m. Friday for a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.

Investigators said Dana Dodge was crossing Main Street outside of a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Sean McGlaughlin of Fairfield.
