Another school budget proposal for RSU 4 was approved Monday night. Residents in Litchfield, Sabattus and Wales will vote on a school budget for the fourth time when Mainers head to the polls on Nov. 7.

According to CBS 13, the latest school budget proposal stands at $21.6 million.

That’s about $200,000 less than the previous budget proposal.

Residents called for more cuts when they rejected the first three proposals.

The new budget cuts funds for facilities and maintenance and administration.

But it does increase spending in one area, adding more funding for teachers’ salaries and supplies.
