A man faces charges after South Portland Police say they seized over $50,000 worth of fentanyl during a traffic stop this week.

Police say they pulled over a driver after spotting suspicious activity, and after an investigation, found 300 grams of suspected fentanyl with a street value of more than $50,000.

Police say they arrested a passenger in that vehicle but have not released his name yet.

An investigation is ongoing.
